The Park Administration has decided to support the Baiga Cultural Dance program by hosting dances every day at the Khatiya gate. Now, the tribes earn money every day, and visitors learn more about the tribal people of our area. Harmony grows, too, among the indigenous community, non-tribal neighbours, and government, and we offer our special thanks to Park Director Sanjay Shukla.

At the behest of the local government, our very own Artist-in-Residence Ashish Kachchwah and his team have made the entire area by the town of Mandla into an Art Gallery! They are painting all the walls of the town with Baiga Art, showing their environmentally-friendly lifestyle and culture -- probably an unprecedented venture, internationally. As American poets Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel wrote, "The words of the Prophet are written on the subway (in this case, highway!) walls."
