'Tis the season for giving.
|
|
As we reflect on all that we are grateful for this year, we are reminded of those who have endured hardship and struggle. The holidays remain to be an increasingly challenging season for those in need. Whether it be making sure that there are gifts under the tree or putting a warm meal on the table- many are overcome by making ends meet rather than enjoying this special time of year.
Consequently, this time of year proves to be one of giving and generosity. It is remarkable to witness the efforts of our local community as well as the support from individuals miles away.
We thank you for your time, contributions and belief in our mission. Together, we are positively impacting the lives of those who need it most; nourishing the health our community through the power of good food.

"When you create a difference in someone's life, you not only impact their life, you impact everyone influenced by them throughout their entire lifetime. No act is ever too small. One by one, this is how to make an ocean rise."

100 lbs. of Food Collected by Greenwich 2nd Graders!
In the spirit of thanks-'giving', the 2nd graders at Greenwich Central School gave their annual donation of non-perishable items for our food pantries. The students collected an impressive 100 lbs. of goods and welcomed Devin and Haley into their classroom for a mini presentation on Comfort Food Community.

We learned that a couple of the students have even volunteered at the Food Center this year! How inspiring it is to see the youngest members of our community finding joy in helping others. Thank you to all!
