A Creative and Diverse Community Growing Together
My apologies for not being at School Assemblies the last couple of weeks.  I have attended a number of Principal meetings which have all occurred on Mondays.   I plan to be at the next assembly on March 20th

Welcome Picnic/BBQ
It was great to see so many families on Thursday for our Welcome Picnic/BBQ. It is a great opportunity to catch up and meet some of our new families in the school.  I would like to thank the many parents/carers who assisted in setting up and cooking etc.

School Council Elections
We are currently in the process of School Council Elections.  A letter was sent explaining the process and the 5 nominees.    Ballot papers are located in the office.  The election will close at 4pm on Thursday March 15th and the elected members will be announced shortly after.  I wish all the nominees good luck.

Changes in Term 2
There will be a number of changes to our class structures in Term 2.  This is due to more students arriving than we expected and some staff changes.  The majority of changes are:
A new Foundation (Prep)/1 class with a new teacher.
1/ 2 A will move upstairs
3/ 4 S will move into the Babajen
A new teacher will be employed for 3/ 4 CB to replace Brent Crowley who has resigned
A new Business Manager replacing  Glennis Taylor who has announced her retirement
It is exciting to see our school growing and this provides more money in the school budget for staffing.  It is a bit unusual to have a number of staff leave in the first half of the year but we will manage the changes with very few problems.
We will advise parents/carers about any changes via letter when more information becomes available.

Project Management
Does anybody know someone who is qualified and can manage a building project?   We will shortly commence some upgrade works and I am looking for someone who can manage trades people and the project.  Please come and see me if you can help.

Monday March 13th – Labour Day Holiday
Monday is a Public Holiday and students are not required at school.  Enjoy the long weekend.
Thanks for all your support,
Leon Bell

Bike Ed Team
Hello from the OSHC room,
We would like to thank David for installing our new outside equipment tub near the bike shed. The children have already been enjoying the easy access and wider variety of activities now available.
Every Wednesday for the next 6 months we are having two ex-TPS students (Eddy & Mosi) coming to volunteer and assist us with the OSHC program as they are participating in the Duke of Edinburgh. If you walk past the OSHC room you will see some colourful slide show images projecting out through our window. We have put it together to screen shot some of the activities and creations the children have been busy with.
Just a reminder for when making payments through direct debit to please put ‘OSHC’ and the child and/or family in the reference, so we can ensure it goes on to your OSHC account.
Thank you,
Andi and the OSHC team
