Dear Edgemont Community Members,

Though Spring is certainly taking its time in arriving, the vote on the 2018-2019 School District Budget is only a month away.  New York State requires a public vote with a majority of yes votes in order for us to enact our budget proposal and spending plan. The Board of Education adopted the budget at their meeting this week.

This spending plan includes:

  • Increased Spending on Safety and Security

  • All Current Academic, Athletic, and Co-curricular Activities

  • Robotics/Coding Programs in Grades 5-8

  • Additional Technology and Access District-wide

  • Additional Social/Emotional Learning Components

  • Elementary School Lunch Delivery Program (exploration and research in process)

  • ICAP Program Expansion to the EHS Campus.

PLEASE VOTE ON MAY 15, 2018 between 6:00 am and 9:00 pm at Edgemont Jr/Sr High School. If you plan to be away on the date of the vote, you may apply for an absentee ballot.  Residents who are 17 years and older who may be away at college may also register. They can vote as long as they are 18 by the election date. Applications are available now on the District website and Absentee Ballots will be available Tuesday, April 17th in the District Office (Edgemont High School campus)

The unwavering support you have provided for the school district throughout the past year continues to fill me with gratitude. You are essential in every way to the success of our students.

Best regards,

Victoria Kniewel
