Summer is here, and this week marked the start of our annual summer stitchalong, the Cozy Summer Stitch-O-Rama. From July 2nd to September 10th, we're hosting a ten-week, 10-project game, with knit and crochet "missions," fun rewards, a prize drawing, and the satisfaction of checking off your project "to do" list (with a little extra encouragement from this year's adorable fox mascots). The game is $10 to register, and we'll be hosting and posting pictures on social media and in our Ravelry group. We're always happy to answer your questions in the shop, or you can sign up or learn more on the website.

An even bigger game is taking place in Eugene this July: the World Athletics Championships, held for the first time on US soil. We are happy to join the city in welcoming athletes, as well as their support teams and families, from 200 countries, from July 15-24, 2022. As part of the festivities, Eugene is also hosting a Riverfront Festival at the new Waterfront Park, with music, food, and local artisans, showcasing the best of our state. Because of the shop's proximity to the festival, if you are visiting Cozy this month, parking may be a challenge. Please don't hesitate to call ahead if you have questions about inventory, or if you need something held or shipped to you. For two weeks, we'll be right in the heart of the action; we hope you can find ways to join in and celebrate with us, too!

July Trunk Shows

The world is coming to Oregon, and we'd love to show off some of our talented artisans, so Cozy is hosting TWO trunk shows this month!

The first is a joint trunk show with Willamette Valley Wool Company and Cerulean Orchid. Lynette (yarn) and Jeananne (stickers and crochet patterns) are teaming up once again to bring fun surprises to the shop. Expect a yarn-themed sticker bar, inventive new patterns, and yarn and fiber in elegant nature-inspired colorways. The trunk show will be held from Tuesday, July 12th through Saturday, July 16th, with Lynette and Jeananne joining us in person at Cozy on Saturday.

Then, to cap off the excellent Indie weekend, Joshua of Portland's Blu Fiber Company is joining us for a trunk show from 12-4 on Sunday, July 17th. Come check out his beautifully bright and colorful yarns, many of which glow gorgeously in black light.

New Yarn and Notions

To honor Eugene's place in the pantheon of Great Sports Cities, Madelinetosh has helped us create a special, limited-edition colorway: "Track Town." Swirls and sprinkles of sporty greens and browns reflect both the colors of our refreshing local tree canopy and those of the historic stadiums--new and old--at Hayward Field. We'll have Track Town on Twist Light (a great base for sock knitting!), Tosh DK, and the sparkly TML+Glitter.

Portland's Knitted Wit team sent us a replay of some of their well-loved National Parks colorways to celebrate the Pacific Northwest as we greet so many visitors this month. We have a limited restock in Sock and DK in Olympic, Mt Hood National Forest, Crater Lake, and Nez Perce National Historic Park...even better than postcards for remembering your favorite places!

And thanks to the team at Katrinkles, we have some new, charming evergreen tree shawl pins, and Oregon Starter Pack stitch marker sets--great gifts, whether you are visiting Oregon for the first time, or already live in the state that you love.
