Knitted Wit's Craft The Parks

Every summer, Lorajean and the team at Portland's Knitted Wit create a series of yarns inspired by our country's national parks. This year, having already paid homage to most of the well-known parks, they've created all new colorways based on monuments, Heritage Sites, and other national treasures.

At the beginning of each month, starting in May, we'll be receiving limited quantities of that month's colors in Sock and DK. For each colorway you purchase, you earn a stamp on your Knit The Parks "passport." If you purchase four Knit The Parks skeins over the course of the summer, you can turn in your passport for a commemorative patch, and if you purchase 16 skeins, you earn a matching enamel pin! Additionally, if you use your new skeins to join Shannon Squire's Socks on Vacay or Hats on Vacay knitalongs, there are even more fun and prizes to be had.

We have May and June's Knit The Parks skeins out now; come in and check them out!
May's Surprise Box suddenly became June's Surprise Box, thanks to 2021 and its ever-changing currents, but we're still up for the surprise...are you? June's surprise box, inspired by the fancy springtime events of yesteryear, features yarn custom dyed by Portland's Teal Torch Knits, accompanied by a pattern and other creative additions. Boxes are $42, with free shipping or in-store pickup.
This time, to give more of you a chance to nab a box, the shopping link will not be active until Friday, June 4th, at 9:00 am, and then will be available until they sell out. Surprise boxes will then be ready on Friday, June 11.
Thank you all so much for continuing to mask up in the shop! Right now, Lane County is still in the High Risk category for COVID transmission; however, once we reach 65% of our population having received at least one dose of vaccine, we can move to Low Risk and drop the capacity restrictions for in-store shopping. This Friday, we will end the option to shop by appointment, as it is no longer necessary to limit the number of people in the store at one time.
We hope to begin social stitching and group gatherings again later this summer, as the state opens up and more people have the opportunity to be fully vaccinated.
