YOU CAN DO IT!

Hi, Summer Stitch-O-Rama Squirrels! We just finished Week 7 of our summer stitchalong, with five weeks to go to finish your projects. Up to this point, you have shown off some incredibly ingenious creations: precious baby sweaters, stunning scrap shawls, feet finger puppets... It has been so much fun to see where the missions have taken you!

This year, there are 45 players joining in the game, from all three west-coast states! And, thanks to your signups, we were able to donate $150 to the Eugene/Springfield NAACP ACT-SO fund last week, so your participation is helping to fund a very important experience for others in our community as well.

Don't forget to post your projects on Instagram (#summerstitchorama) or in our Ravelry group, or just bring them in on your next Cozy visit so we know what you've finished. Once you've earned your three reward stickers (at 9 projects), we'll pop them in the mail to you. If you complete all twelve projects, you'll earn your water bottle, and be entered in the finisher's drawing for twelve more prizes at the end of the game!

Missing your tote bag this year? The 2020 Finish Line reward is a handy Stitch-O-Rama themed water bottle, but we heard that some of you are sad to break the tote bag chain! So, this year, there is an optional commemorative tote bag, in nice, sturdy, 100% cotton canvas, that you can pre-purchase for $12, to complete your set. Bag orders can be placed on our website, or next time you are in the shop.

We are so grateful to screenprinter Diane McWhorter, for taking this on, and to Cozy staffer Taylor, for making the connection!
One of this summer's missions is to design your own project, and the story of one knitter's achievement is too beautiful not to share: After losing a daughter this spring, Laura created not only a stunning sock pattern to honor her daughter's memory, but also the perfect yarn to go with it.

Always Be Kind yarns are self-striping rainbow sock yarns that help to bring colorful cheer with you wherever you go, with a focus on kindness, and suicide prevention. You can find Laura's yarns in her Etsy shop, and now also at Cozy; we have both shades of rainbow-striping sock yarn, and also coordinating rainbow miniskeins for heels and toes.
