Summer Stitch-O-Rama Returns!

We had so much fun last summer with our Cozy-based summer-long stitch-along that we had to do it again this year! Cats are cool, but this time around, we're hosting a Llama Llama Stitch-O-Rama. Why?
1) It's fun to say Llama Llama Stitch-O-Rama, and it sounds like a Doo-Wop song. (Any musicians out there want to write it?)
2) Llamas are tough. They often protect herds of sheep from coyotes, and can carry heavy loads for humans over rugged terrain.
3) Llamas have really nice fleeces, the kind that makes really nice yarn for knitters and crocheters.
4) We love llamas!

The Summer Stitch-O-Rama is a set of twelve "missions," or knitting-or-crochet projects, that you work on and share on social media over the course of the summer. There is no competition to finish first, but you do earn rewards for completing missions, and everyone who completes all twelve is entered into a bonus prize drawing at our finishers' celebration. You can begin any time, by coming into the shop and registering for $10, but the game ends September 16, 2018.

And this year, we have some special optional Stitch-O-Rama souvenirs, courtesy of Willamette Valley Wool Company and Stitch-O-Rama artist, Amber Leaders! While supplies last, we have llama cards and pins for sale, and a limited-edition batch of hand-dyed Llama/Merino yarn! We have our mini llama-shop set up right now at Cozy for all to see, or check out our instagram feed for a peek!

Oink Pigments Pop-Up

One night only: Oink Pigments is bringing their West Coast Road-Trip Trunk Show to Cozy! On Wednesday, July 18th, from 4-7 pm, you can shop their suitcases full of colorful yarns, and meet owner Julie and her mascot, Piggy Sue. We'll keep the Wednesday-night Sit-and-Stitch, too, so you can shop, stay, and stitch, and make a whole evening of it!

Oink Pigments is the collective creative endeavor of three women on two sides of the Mississippi, who create yarn and fiber in over 100 different and beautiful colorways. Most of their yarn bases are 100% USA-made, from sheep to skein, and include beloved fibers like Merino, Targhee, Alpaca, and even Cashmere blends. We can't wait to see what those suitcases hold!

Independence Day Hours

On Wednesday, July 4th, Cozy will be closing early at 4:00 pm as the city nears its holiday festivities. Because this will affect our regular weekly Sit-and-Stitch, we're moving it up to 1-3 pm, on July 4th only. If you have the day off, bring your projects and join us for some stitch time!

For those planning an earlier trip that day by car, you may be affected by the finish of the annual Butte-To-Butte race, which wraps up on 5th Avenue, between our shop and the 5th Street Market. Race activities should be wrapped up by noon and the parking lots will have more spaces by then, too.

And, if you're running that morning, bring in your Butte-to-Butte bib on the 4th for 20% off your purchase!
