Early February 2020

You may have noticed a heart or two in the world this month, the idea being that in February we express our affection for all those we love--family, friends, partners, pets. Really, we know that knitters and crocheters express their love all year, as they make amazing things for others (even themselves; yes, you are so worth it). As you are creating something by hand, you are giving the gifts of your time, your inspiration, and your intention, as well as the finished objects themselves.

Yarn Updates

-We've received quite the rainbow of restocks from two of our favorite hand-dyed yarn companies, Blue Moon Fiber Arts and Dream in Color. We have so many new colors in Socks That Rock Lightweight, including our own special Cozy colorway!

-Queensland Walkabout is an organic, 100% Shetland wool yarn that is perfect for colorwork projects, and comes in several lovely heathered shades.

-Lucky Tweed by Kelbourne Woolens is another yarn ideal for colorwork, in a heavy-worsted to aran weight. This yarn is a rustic, multicolored tweed, with the softness of Merino fiber.
February 2020 has an extra day! That magical combination of a new decade, a leap year, wishful thinking and... science? means that any yarn shopping that occurs on February 29 will not even remotely increase your stash.

Because of this, Cozy is happy to welcome Portland-area indie dyer Christina of Teal Torch Knits for a special, one-day-only Leap Day Trunk Show! Christina will also be joined by local pompom producer Sarah of No Hooks Given, who will bring a supply of perfect project toppers to go with the yarn.

The Teal Torch Knits Trunk Show will happen all day, Saturday, February 29 (our hours are 10 am-5 pm)--see you there!
