The latest recommendations from the United States CDC is for communities to practice social distancing, to slow down the spread of COVID-19. In limiting our exposure to others, we are preventing an exponential spread of the virus, as sometimes people can be contagious and still not have or display any symptoms. Although we continue to carefully disinfect surfaces and equipment, we cannot meet the requirements for ample personal space in group gatherings.

So, after careful consideration, we've decided to cancel our weekly Sit-and-Stitch sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and change our open hours this week to 11-4 pm, through Friday, March 20, 2020. After March 20, pending further CDC advice, Cozy will be closed to the public through at least April 1, 2020. If you have registered for a class in March, we will be calling you about rescheduling and refunds, and if you have placed a special order for yarn or needles, we will be contacting you about making arrangements for shipping or pickup.

We know how important it is to you to maintain our knitting and crochet community, and how comforting our hobbies can be in times of stress. As a staff we are working on coming up with ways to stay in touch, connect, and keep you supplied right now, and we will let you know our ideas soon.

Stay well and stitch on!
