Social Marketing for A Better Life

For over 20 years, DKT Indonesia has been working in Indonesia and we always pursue our vision and mission to provide safe options for family planning and HIV/AIDS prevention.

As a social marketing organization that designs and implements programs in 21 developing countries, our work here is seen as one of the greatest family planning success stories in the developing world.
Since 2008, DKT Indonesia has become the leader of the global CYPs (Couple Years of Protection) achievement as the largest privately family planning program in the world with an average 7 million CYPs per year.

Providing not only high quality family planning products, but also executing creative social marketing campaigns from music concerts, youth campaigns, training and education about STIs (Sexual Transmitted Infections) to high-risk groups across Indonesia.

In 2015 alone, we have achieved 7.731.175 CYP and helping for a better family planning. 

Maternal deaths can be prevented by using postpartum contraception, whether the pregnant women is too young or too old, as well as the short pregnancy gap between one kid to another newly born child. In order to decrease the number of maternal deaths, Andalan launched the PPIUD (IUD postpartum) with inserter method, so that IUD insertion would be easier, more hygienic, and provide direct prevention towards unplanned pregnancy.
PPIUD Socialization was held from May-June 2016 in 4 cities, Jakarta, Medan, Makassar, and Semarang. Not only supported by officials from Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia, BKKBN and Prof. Dr. dr. Biran Affandi, SpOG as the speaker and expert in IUD in Indonesia; this socialization also was attended by National Population and Family Planning Board (BBKBN), representatives of the Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia, Indonesian Midwives (Ikatan Bidan Indonesia-IBI), members of the Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology Indonesia (POGI), UNFPA, JHIEGO, WHO, PKBI, JHUCCP, and other stakeholders. This innovative method will be available soon in 2nd semester 2016.
Many women may know about contraception, however most of them do not know that there are varied contraception choices. The use of contraception prevents an unplanned pregnancy and improve the live both for women as well as her family. Providing information and education, Andalan implemented Pilihanku (My choice campaign) which aim to facilitate women access towards contraceptive choices. This program has been on air since January 2015 through national TV, radio, and press. It is expected to increase awareness of the importance of family planning for a better family.

Furthermore, Andalan also contributes in developing the competency of midwifes through Refreshment sessions for long-term Contraceptive Methods in 11 regions (Medan, Deli, Serdang, Asahan, East Jakarta, North Jakarta, Cilacap, Brebes, Klaten, Makassar, Guwa, Bulukumba). Until mid 2016, we have reached 1700 midwifes.
When you forget to have your birth control pills, injectable contraceptive, use condom or oversight ovulation calendar, you still have the chance to prevent pregnancy. Andalan Postpil is the emergency contraception pill that could help prevent pregnancy up to 120 hours. Expanding the knowledge of emergency contraception, Andalan Postpil held series of events for pharmacists as the front-liner providing contraception products, to share valuable knowledge about emergency contraceptive.
Enthusiasm of the pharmacists can be seen from the number of attendances, more than the expected in each event. This program has been on place since March 2016 in Bandung, Jogja, Jakarta and will continue during August and September in Medan and Surabaya.
Sutra App Contest

Sutra condoms launch an exciting digital campaign by using the Sutra mobile apps on Google play, the contestants will win prizes by posting the hashtag #MainAman. This will create a buzz effect reminding their peers to play safe. This competition was held since 1st to 28th of May 2016 all over Indonesia with many prizes.

NOBAR Final EURO 2016 with Sutra Condoms
Sutra partnered with Indovision for the "Nonton Bareng EURO Final 2016" project at The Flavor Bliss, Alam Sutra, Tangerang. The Sutra Mobile Team visited 40 hang-out venues around the greater Jakarta area that had live screening of the match, distributing Sutra posters to the attendees. Mini games and contests were also held in guessing the winner of the EURO Final 2016 with Sutra merchandise and exciting prizes. 
Karaoke for Dangdut Lovers!
Sutra condoms in association Radio Muara 69.3 FM, one of the largest FM and live-streaming radio station in Indonesia to promote the Goyang Sutra On-Air Karaoke competition as its signature event targeting to the dangdut lovers. This singing competition was aired from February to April 2016 as an expansion of the 6th annual major event of Goyang Sutra Concert. A total of 1.224 participants across the nation participated in this  campaign
