The City of Phoenix has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to create an Urban Farm on a City Park.

"The City seeks a public, non-profit or private sector organization to transform a portion of a public park into an educational and environmental center with an emphasis on farming, agriculture and sustainable food sourcing. A concession were prepared food, merchandise or other related materials are sold is desired. The successful proposer will be required to offer educational session and events to the public related to the desired emphasis.

This RFP seeks market-viable development proposals that: 1) make the best use of the park; 2) are consistent with Parks and Recreation Department's mission statement to build healthy communities through parks, programs and partnerships; and 3) contribute to the creation of a vibrant urban mixed-use area."
