Slow down for emergency vehicles

Slowing down for emergency and law enforcement vehicles has been a legal requirement for 2 years.

In that time there have been no deaths or serious injuries to our emergency workers on the road.

Ensure you're full informed about this road rule by visiting the VicRoads website

Safe use of technology devices

The National Transport Commission is asking for feedback on mobile phones and driver distraction.

The purpose of this project is to find a better way to regulate the safe use of technology devices as part of the Australian Road Rules.

Have your say on the matter prior to 21 August 2019.

Give your feedback on the NTC website.

Skateboards and scooters

There are road rules that riders of scooters and wheeled recreational devices need to follow.

If you're thinking of buying a scooter or other wheeled recreational device, make sure you read up on how it can legally be used.

View road rules for scooters and wheeled recreational devices on the VicRoads website

Road signs

We've recently updated our road sign page with images of all relevant Victorian road signs, including:
  • regulatory signs
  • warning signs
  • freeway and guide signs
  • tourist and service signs.
