We Take Elections Seriously

it’s election season in Arizona.

We’re excited to announce our support for 57 candidates for the legislature in the primary election on August 4 and the general election on November 3.

We’re excited to showcase several education champions, like Heather Carter (R) who champions equitable and affordable access to higher education

It is a nonpartisan list. The Republicans and Democrats we’ve endorsed, from all corners of the state, have shown a sincere commitment to improving the education quality and achievement of Arizona school children.

We’re excited to showcase several education champions, like Heather Carter (R) who champions equitable and affordable access to higher education, and Paul Boyer (R) who helped pave the way for high quality instruction for English Learners, and others like Sean Bowie (D) who worked to increase the number of school counselors.

We reviewed answers from our education-specific questionnaire and scored incumbents’ voting records against their alignment with Stand for Children core values and objectives. We’re thrilled so many candidates met our endorsement benchmark.

Arizona has made some progress, but there is much more work to be done.

We know these 57 candidates are in the best position to address many challenges that Arizona’s students face. In addition to the continuing issues of Arizona’s reading crisis, English Language Learner reform, and adequate, accountable funding, there is a new landscape for students and families that requires a deep commitment to innovative problem-solving that puts kids before politics.

Put simply, they deserve your vote.

Standing with you,

Rebecca, Stacey, Mary, Jay, Liliana, Katherine, Georgina, and Atenas
