Vaccine info
First, thank you to all the health care workers, health department, and volunteers making the vaccine clinics happen!

As of March 1st, folks 65 and over can sign up for a COVID vaccine.

The spots are filling up very quickly. I've tried to sign up several neighbors with some success. Make sure to subscribe for the CHD listserv if you're in Union County for updates. www.chdinc.org/subscribe

Tips for signing up on the CHD website:
  • Don't use an iPad or tablet--the website has issues on those devices. Use a desktop computer.
  • Sign up at www.chdinc.org/gv. At the top of the page it will either say registration is OPEN in green or CLOSED in red. If open, there are dates in blue. Click the date you want and it will prompt you to fill out your info. Sometimes it takes a few tries. Keep trying!
  • When you go to sign up, scroll to the bottom first. If you can see blue time slots to the right of the calendar, that means you can sign up. If it says "no slots available" in grey to the right of the calendar, everything is full.
Some folks are also able to get vaccinated at Safeway. Check out their website here.

I don't know if other pharmacies are offering vaccines yet based on Googling and the grapevine. From the website it looks like Bimart will have vaccines but doesn't yet. I couldn't determine the vaccine situation at Rite Aid or Red Cross from the internet.

Again, if you need a hand getting signed up, please contact me and I am happy to help.
Bread & Cookie Clubs
Finally, our friend Sarah West at Tea House La Grande has the next round of Bread Club & Cookie Club open. Info here.
