SIMPLIFY DAY 2017 - REMOVING OUTDATED LEGISLATION
A message from Premier Jay Weatherill.
I want South Australia to be the best place to do business.

To achieve this aim, the Government is delivering reforms to create jobs and grow our economy, while investing in new infrastructure that will underpin our future prosperity.

We have reduced business taxes and we are providing incentives to employ more people and attract businesses from interstate.

The Government held its first Simplify Day last year, successfully identifying a broad range of reforms to cut red tape. These included changes to fees, licences, permits, notification requirements and compliance that make a real and lasting difference to South Australian people and business.

Simplify Day is back for 2017 and will again focus on identifying outdated and over burdensome government practices, improving competitiveness and removing unnecessary duplication.

We are also currently working on the future considerations put forward by business and the community last year.

Over the next 30 days, we are asking businesses and the community to speak up about any red tape limitations affecting their business in South Austalia.

Importantly, I need your feedback so we can make sure that our laws and practices are serving business and community well.

To contribute your ideas, visit the Your Say website. Alternatively, send your feedback directly to simplifyday@sa.gov.au

Yours sincerely,

Jay Weatherill
