Message from the Chair
The Country SA PHN Board travelled to Ceduna last week for its Board meeting and to get a feel for local issues and conditions. The dinner meeting with local healthcare providers was a very useful session to get to know those serving their communities and the opportunity to have a walk around Ceduna Koonibba Aboriginal Health Service and hear first hand of the challenges they face in service provision, gave further important insights.

The upcoming SA Primary Health Care Conference on April 1-2, jointly coordinated by Country SA PHN and Adelaide PHN is shaping up to be a great opportunity to hear about and contribute to a range of program areas relevant across our sector. Cervical Screening, palliative care, Drug & Alcohol issues, mental health will all have a focus, and there is opportunity to update your CPR credentials as well. I hope to see you there.

Primary Health Care Professionals are invited to be part of this unique opportunity to help drive innovation and collaboration in South Australia’s Primary Health Care system. For more information and to register go to  www.saphnconference.com.au.

For many rural people, access to health professionals can be a struggle for routine care; cardiac services are often more difficult again. Read more...
