ASHBY: ALWAYS STRIVING TO EXCEL
|
|
Dear Parents/Carers,
We hope you have all enjoyed your weekend.
It has been very positive to see so many students engaging in the learning tasks, activities, and WebEx check-ins these past two weeks. We deeply thank parents/carers for their support in facilitating this.
It is a requirement that students engage in the Remote and Flexible Learning program that has been designed by your classroom teacher as well as those developed by specialist teachers. We understand that each family has differing circumstances, however it is important to keep the link with school, while adhering to the Department and Government regulations regarding school attendance.
Packs again will be ready for collection this Friday (21st August) to support the remote and flexible learning program at home. There will be additional resources relating to Visual Arts and Physical Education this fortnight. These will be set up again from 12:30- 3:30pm on Friday outside the Hall.
Information regarding Parent Teacher Interviews will be sent via COMPASS tomorrow.
Again, we thank you for your continued support over this challenging time. We are so proud of all students, and the ways in which they are demonstrating our TERRI values from home.
Parents and carers must be congratulated for this also.
Take care,

Meg Bone

SCHOOL CROSSING SUPERVISOR
|
|
Starting today the Council have granted us a Crossing Supervisor on our Waratah Street Crossing.
We have been in discussions with the Council for quite some time, trying to make this happen, to assist with keeping our community safe when crossing Waratah Street.
As of today, Tom from our Lawton Street crossing has been moved to Waratah Street, so please make sure when we do return to onsite learning, you say “Hi” and welcome him. I am sure he will be glad to see some familiar faces.
Our new Crossing Supervisor is starting today on Lawton Street. Make sure you utilise Lawton Street Crossing and get to know our new crossing supervisor, once we can return also.

Thank you to JSC for organising, to everyone who brought items to donate, and to Julie who dropped the collection off to GAWS. For only having the collection going for a week, there were plenty of items to donate and GAWS are very grateful for Ashby's efforts.
