It was a positive return to school last week for students following the two-week holiday break. I have enjoyed accessing classrooms to see the introduction of new Inquiry topics for the term and look forward to seeing these unfold.
We welcomed Rochelle to the 3/4/5 team last week. She will work a couple of days a week supporting students in the classroom.
In addition to this we welcomed Lyn, Ash and Courtney who will also be volunteering in classrooms and undertaking small group supported learning programs in the coming weeks.
Please ensure students are in full school uniform each day and are adhering to the School Uniform Policy (located on the website). Black legging or track pants are not part of the school uniform and are not to be worn. If families require support in purchasing uniform items please see Amy or Belinda in the Administration Office.
In addition to this, the school council is putting forward the introduction of a few new uniform items for 2021 and beyond, they are more durable and provide a fresh new look for the students. These uniform items will be promoted on social media for the current time and on display in the office once restrictions ease. We will be seeking feedback from families regarding these items in preparation for selecting the most appropriate additions to the uniform for the commencement of the 2021 school year.
Staff in 3/4 are currently organising camp held on the 31st of August until September of 2nd in Port Campbell. This is an exciting opportunity whereby we are encouraging all students to attend. Parents/Carers of students in these classes would have received information relating to consent, medical permissions  etc. on Compass last week. Please ensure you are adhering to timelines as we do not want students to miss this opportunity.
Following some of the news reports about the wearing of masks and temperature checking of students, this is not something that is enforced for areas outside of Melbourne and Mitchell Shire. If you have any further questions please contact the Administration Office.

Reminders that parents are not be access school grounds at this current time due to COVID-19 restrictions. Please contact the Administration Office if required.
