ASHBY: ALWAYS STRIVING TO EXCEL

SCHOOL NEWS & EVENTS MESSAGE

It was lovely to welcome our new preps to Ashby for a short visit last week. They were an enthusiastic bunch and although only onsite for a short time, enjoyed themselves immensely.
We look forward to seeing them again this Friday.

The term is going so quickly, and can’t believe we only have 6 weeks left of term. It is so important that students are attending school each day (unless unwell), getting here on time and where possible not being collected until the conclusion of each day at 3:20. Every minute counts, and some students are missing vital learning when consistently arriving late or being collected early.

I would like to wish Belinda Downie all the best on the up and coming arrival of her second child. This is a very exciting time, especially for big brother to be, Colton. We look forward to congratulating them on their new arrival in the coming weeks. I would like to welcome Tenealle Walsh to the Ashby team who started with us today. Tenealle will be working in the Administration Office with Amy while Belinda is on family leave.

We require up to date information on enrolments which includes both new families to the school and families that are relocating to areas outside of Geelong West and transferring schools. Can you please let myself, Corrie Barclay, or Amy in the Administration office know if you are leaving Ashby next year as this will also be vital in our planning stages.
