Where are you from?

Cedarhurst NY

What brought you to Seattle?

I came to work as a software engineer for Facebook. Plus I heard West Coast is the Best Coast and had to see for myself.

Can you share a good travel memory?

I ended up staying in a town called Strasbourg in the south of France while backpacking. It turns out, my dad's long lost friend from his days of working on a kibbutz in Israel lived there (I only found out after I arrived!) and she took my on a picnic in the town they based Beauty and the Beast off of. Crazy where a travel detour can take you.

What's your favorite current boardgame or hobby?

Anagrams (aka the best version of Bananagrams) will always be near and dear to my heart.

Any special way that you are coping with the current pandemic?

I've been working on my Just Dance skills. Very soon I will have perfected the "Rasputin" dance. I've also tried many meringue recipes, finished watching the Harry Potter movies, and got some boating done in Magnasun (in a blow up boat of course).

What appeals to you about Mercaz and the Northend community?

I've never been part of any neighborhood quite like this. I love the compassion and sense of community among everyone here; I've never known "out of town" Judaism could be so rich and lively. People here are thoughtful, welcoming, and truly take advantage of this beautiful region we live in. Honestly, I'm just so thrilled to be a part of it all and can't wait to see everyone when things reopen.
