Hey there superstars,

It seems like an absolute age since I last sent out a newsletter, like, before Christmas I think.

There's loads going on at Fitter Stronger You HQ.

We've just launched the first of many 30 day challenges for members - albeit the fist one is 28 days to coincide with the start of February.

The Back Trooper Challenge is a home based workout daily challenge that is designed to accelerate your fitness levels and overall results by
  • Keeping you focused and super fit away from the sessions
  • A bit of light hearted fun and competition to spice things up.
There are 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed prizes to give away at the end of the challenge (1st place prize is £40 value) so it's well worth having a go.

It starts TODAY so if you want to take part let me know and I can send you over the details.

We also have out first social event for 2019 pencilled in for Friday 29th March in Stony Stratford for a few drinks and some food in one of the many local inns.

To book your place simply bring £10 to bootcamp and your name will be placed on a register - you'll get your £10 back on the night to spend towards booze and food.

This week's recipe (the first of 2019) is yummy sweet potato tuna burgers; excellent for meal prepping as they're ideal for the freezer if made in bulk.

I like to add a hint of peri peri spice mix just to add that extra kick.

This comes at a good time for me personally as I'm trying to keep my proteins levels up as I eat throughout the day which can be hard at times.

Luckily bulk cooking protein based recipes for the freezer has been an epic way to ensure I'm not over-carbing at each of my meals - seems to have done the trick so far.

One thing I've noticed since making more of a conscious effort to stay on top of proteins is just how little I need to eat to remain and feel full.

It's a time saving efficient way to eat in my view as I'm not constantly grabbing the snacks between meals, just simply grabbing more plant and meat based proteins with a good side of veggies each time.

I've noticed that I have more energy during the day and more energy for working out and find it easier to get a good night's sleep - win, win, win!

For more recipes - protein based or otherwise - check out the blog here.

That's all for this week and good luck to those of you on the challenge.

Stay healthy

PS here's a one hour YouTube video that claims to play 'theta binaural beats meditation music for physical & emotional healing of the subconscious mind.'
