We Need Your DSP Stories!
One of The Arc of Indiana's big legislative goals this session is increased wages for direct support professionals, and they need your help! If you have a story about a DSP (a story about yourself or a DSP story from the perspective of a client/employer), please consider sharing it with The Arc of Indiana. The more of these stories we can share with our legislators, the more they recognize the valuable work these support professionals do.

Valentine's Day Updates
The Arc of Indiana and Self-Advocates of Indiana will be hosting our first ever Virtual Valentine's Day at the Statehouse this year! Due to COVID-19 concerns and restrictions on visitors at the Statehouse, we are holding this event virtually during the week of February 8th-12th. If you would like to set up a time for your chapter to have a virtual meeting with your state representative(s), please contact The Arc of Indiana's Public Policy Director, Hannah Carlock (hcarlock@arcind.org), ASAP. Legislators are very busy this time of year, so please reach out soon so we can get you on their calendar.

A lot of chapters normally make valentines for their representatives. This is still fine (and encouraged!), it's just going to look a little different this year.  If you would like to send any legislators/state officials valentines, please send the valentines (and the list of recipients) to the following address:

The Arc of Indiana
attn: Hannah Carlock
143 W. Market Street
Indianapolis, IN
46204

These will go to Hannah Carlock at The Arc of Indiana and she will be able to get them to the right people at the Statehouse!

If you have any other questions about this year's Valentine's Day event, please contact Hannah Carlock (hcarlock@arcind.org) or Shannon Ellery (sellery@arcind.org).
