 Mulching session at Bexhill cemetery
Saturday 26th March at 9.30 am

We will be holding another mulching session at Bexhill Cemetery on Saturday 26th March at 9.30am. This area, where trees have been planted over the last three years, has been strimmed and we need volunteers to help us remove grass from the protective spirals and then mulch around the base.

If you could kindly let Peter Winchester know if you could attend at
pjwinchester2@gmail.com that would be greatly appreciated.

If you are able to bring a wheelbarrow or buckets that would be useful but not essential, we will have some available.

As you go into the cemetery, from the new entrance, follow the road around driving next to the chapel and carry straight on, you will see a gate and probably a number of cars, we will be in the field.

Bexhill Friends of the Down Tree Planting, Tree Care and Litter Picking

We have a pack of trees sent to us by the Woodland Trust and we will be planting some of these on Bexhill Down on this Saturday 12th March 2022 (see below)
TREE PLANTING AND CARE:
Sat 12th Mar 2022 meet at 9:30am by the bench below King Offa Wood (near King Offa Nursery), wear gardening gloves, waterproof boots. Please bring any of the following: spade, trowel, shears or a battery strimmer if you have one. We are planting some trees and clearing grass from the base of growing trees and mulching if we have enough mulch. We usually stay out for about one to one and a half hours.
LITTER PICK:      Wed 23rd Mar 2022 meet at 9:30am opposite the Athletic Club. I will bring the wheelbarrow with litter grabbers, rings and bags - please bring your own gloves. We usually stay out for about one to one and a half hours.
I will email to cancel on each day around 9am if the weather is very bad.
Our regular activities on Bexhill Down are on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month (Litter pick) and the Saturdays following these dates (Tree care).
