During the "Great British Spring Clean" we are meeting at 10am in Our Lady of the Rosary car park at the junction of Southlands Road with Ninfield Road.
I asked for areas needing a clean up to be notified and the Ninfield Road going out of Sidley was highlighted as really bad.
Please come and join us - equipment will be provided of course.

Bexhill Friends of the Down April 2022

We have had a very successful month in March planting trees and looking after those that were previously planted. Above are some of the newly planted trees between the Athletic Club and the Fire Station. We have planted Rowan, Elder, Blackthorn, Crabapple and a few Hazel, and also some Dogrose over by the hedge on the far side of King Offa Wood. Special thanks to our regular band of volunteers who help with tree care and planting as they have done a lot of work in the last month, including weeding and mulching round all the trees planted along Little Common Road and putting some larger stakes on some trees for added protection.
TREE CARE:            Sat 16th and Sat 30th April 2022 meet at 9:30am by the bench below King Offa Wood (near King Offa Nursery), wear gardening gloves, waterproof boots. Please bring any of the following: spade, trowel, shears or a battery strimmer if you have one. We are clearing grass from the base of the young trees and mulching. We usually stay out for about one to one and a half hours.
LITTER PICKING:   Wed 13th and Wed 27th April 2022 meet at 9:30am opposite the Athletic Club. We will litter pick on the Down and in the twittens and areas around the Leisure Centre. I will bring the wheelbarrow with litter grabbers, rings and bags - please bring your own gloves. We usually stay out for about one to one and a half hours.
I will email to cancel on the day around 9am if the weather is very bad.  I look forward to seeing you at one of our volunteering activities.
