I Tried This at Home - Featured Cocktail
"The Ginger Gold Rush"
1 1⁄2 oz. ginger liqueur I used Intense Ginger (OMG SO GOOD - Seriously - if I didn't have this cocktail planned I'd just pour this on the rocks and drink up)
1 oz. bourbon - Make it a good Bourbon, but not your best Bourbon.
1⁄2 oz. fresh-squeezed lemon juice (the bottle said it was fresh squeezed, that counts, right?)
Boozy Cherries - Yes, cherries soaked in booze. There is no down side to this. (I'll be honest, mine weren't the boozy kind, and it made me sad in the end)
Put the brandied cherry in the bottom of a martini glass. (or whatever glass) Combine all the other ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain over the cherry into the glass. (I added just a little cherry juice into my shaker, because mmmmm)
Difficulty - This was super easy, and that's HUGE bonus, because I like drinks that are easy to make! (more time for drinking)
I drank this cocktail while watching the puppy and the puppy wanted some too. Don't worry, no booze for puppies. But you can see how good it looks, I highly recommend finding out how good it tastes.
This is a for sure "Make it Again"
(and I did, several times)
