"Cranberry Champagne Cocktail" - For While You're Making Dinner.
1 ounce cranberry juice (sweetened)
1 wedge lime
Champagne or sparkling wine (I used Martini & Rossi Prosecco)
Difficulty - Easy Peasy
This was a fantastic cocktail to work with - quick, easy, no shaking and made to order.
I chose M&R Prosecco because it's got a great dryness to it, but priced perfectly for a wine cocktail. I was delighted with the decision.
1. Put a few frozen cranberries in your glass.
2. Pour some cranberry juice into your glass. The directions say 1 oz. So I'll call it "two fingers" on a Champagne glass.
4. Slowly pour your Prosecco into the glass, waiting for bubbles to settle as needed.
5. Squeeze the lime on top and drop it in.
Notes: Don't skip the fresh lime, I was wary of lime and cranberry together but they marry wonderfully.
First I made one cocktail because my partner isn't a big drinker. But then he tasted mine and asked for his own. This is a HUGE compliment, just saying.
And yet another cocktail that one of the puppies wanted.
(still no alcohol for puppies, but they are cute when they beg)
This is PERFECT for Thanksgiving morning while cooking. Not too strong, and better than a Mimosa so you can cook and enjoy. Or take the fixins to where you've been invited and make your host very happy.
I know I will be drinking this cocktail at every brunch and mid-day party this winter!
