URGENT: North Atlantic right whales need your help now!

The North Atlantic right whale is one of America’s most majestic wildlife species. It is critically endangered and could become effectively extinct within our lifetime if we do not act fast. The National Marine Fisheries Service is holding a series of meetings in the Northeast to discuss implementing additional protections for North Atlantic right whales. We need folks who care about North Atlantic right whales to come to these meetings and voice their support for strong federal protections.

The two meetings in Massachusetts are in:

  • GLOUCESTER, MA - Tuesday, August 20th from 6-9pm at the NOAA Fisheries Greater Atlantic Region, 55 Great Republic Drive, Gloucester, MA 01930
  • BOURNE, MA - Wednesday, August 21st from 6-9pm at Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School, 220 Sandwich Rd., Bourne, MA 02352

TAKE ACTION: Click on the links above for more details about the meetings to determine which you can attend. A large coalition of NGOs is working to coordinate for these meetings, including making sure we get all our supporters who can attend talking points and other materials, so be sure to also RSVP through the Conservation Law Foundations’s website and we'll get you everything you need.

Taking time out of your life to provide input to to government officials makes a difference!

Thank you in advance for your help to protect North Atlantic right whales!

Thank you and contact reminder

Thank you for all you do to help animals and build a more humane Massachusetts! I am happy to be helping with our efforts in the state while we work to fill the big shoes left behind by Stephanie Harris, so please don't hesitate to contact me or our Northeast regional director, Joanne Bourbeau. Please also take advantage of our frequently asked questions.
