Insignary Joins the OIN Community
Pledges Patent Non-Aggression Towards Open Source
(November 15th) Today Insignary announces that it has joined the Open Invention Network community of patent non-aggression. The OIN community pledges non-aggression over the “Linux System.” a collection of over 2,000 core Open Source packages used to power the Internet, enterprise computing, IoT, appliances, automotive and mobile devices.

This means Insignary is aligning itself with over 2,000 other organisations who recognize that Open Source as the platform technology that powers most of the modern world. As an innovative company with a substantial investment in new technologies, Insignary appreciates the value of the work done by community over the past thirty years.

“Open Source has been part of my work in computing since I was a student, and I have contributed to many projects and to addressing larger issues of governance,” says Armijn Hemel, CTO of Insignary. “Joining the OIN community is an obvious way for our company to clearly position itself as a good citizen and a great partner in the broader world of Open Source and Open Data related activities.”

NDS Joins Hands With Insignary to Provide Open Source Solution

(November 30th) Today Insignary announces that NDS, a subsidiary of Nongshim, has entered a partnership deal to become a non-exclusive sales partner. Insignary provides an Open Source supply chain solution called Clarity to helps companies address compliance issues and security vulnerabilities. NDS entered the market with the provision of Cloud Services in 2015 and plans to strengthen its Open Source solution business for further growth.

Insignary is currently running an Early Adopter Program for select customers like  LG Electronic and will publicly release the Clarity solution next year. From today NDS has acquired the right to provide Insignary Clarity in Korea and in Japan, where they are establishing a new branch office.

“Our partnership with NDS is a key example of how Insignary is building strong partnerships and sales channels to target the global market,” says Shane Coughlan, VP of Insignary Business Development. “Insignary will work closely with partners like NDS to provide access to revolutionary technology to address real world problems.”
