STUDENT MEALS

Whataburger is what's on the Menu for Friday's game, if your son and/or daughter did not place an order, please make arrangements to make sure they have a meal after school.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We have completely filled up our signups for Friday! That’s awesome, don’t forget to look ahead. Also, we are asking Senior Parents to bring a 24-32 pack of water bottles. Here’s a signup for that:

A point of clarification: Someone asked if volunteering can reduce your NY trip expenses. No, this is is to bring down the Spring fees, the NY trip is completely separate.

SPIRIT MERCHANDISE

Thank you everyone who stopped by to say hi at our first football game! We have two new shirts this year and a lanyard.  Come by and pick up yours at our next home game on the 21st September.

I want to thank Brandy, Jennifer and Amy for helping me at our Spirit  table last Friday night.

RIG / PROPS CREW

We will be meeting Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the drum room, if you have any questions, please contact Jimmy Acosta at operations@volsband.org

FROM MR. ESCOBEDO

What an exciting first game.  Thank you to all of the parents that came out to help at concessions, rig crew, and chaperone game one.  This first game was the smoothest game one that I can remember. That is the thanks to everyone that pitched in.  The kids also had a strong debut of their 2019 marching show. We are halfway through our show and will continue learning drill for movement four this week.

It is important that the students keep up with all of their grades as the 6th week progress report determines eligibility for our marching season.  We want to make sure that all of the students stay eligible to participate in our competitive season. We encourage students to go to tutoring and bring a pass once they finish.

If you didn’t get a chance to see our marching show live, come out and see a replay of movements 1, 2, and 3 at Alamo Stadium in game two.  Let’s have another great week.GO VOLS!!
