What has your CEHD Staff Council been up to?

Technical Training

Tim Merritt from CETL conducted Excel II & III trainings for the CEHD Staff. Both sessions were very well attended.
Thanks so much to all who participated in our training survey. We are currently reviewing all of the suggestions.
Our next technical training will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 10 - 11 a.m. in Room 106 CEHD. Michael Carter and Gaby McNicoll will be co-facilitating a session on training resources available to staff through the University.

Staff Mixer at East Coast Wings
Thanks to everyone who came out to mix and mingle on Friday, Sept. 22. We had a great turnout and everyone had a wonderful time. Our next staff mixer will be held on Friday, Oct 20 from 5:30 - 7 p.m. at East Coast Wings.

Ted Talk
We had a great turnout at our first TED Talk on Friday, Sept. 29 entitled The Power of Vulnerability by Brene Brown. The talk inspired thoughtful conversation and sense of community among the attendees.  Our next talk will be held on Friday, Oct. 13 from 12 - 1 p.m. entitled To This Day...for the bullied and beautiful by Shane Koyczan.

Have you seen a co-worker do something great in your office, your floor or the college as a whole that supports a positive working environment? Take a moment to acknowledge them and we'll feature one of these colleagues each month.

October's Kudos goes to David R. Brown, College Business Services Officer.

"I would like to give a kudos to David Brown. He is customer-centric, focused, polite, helpful, fast and ALWAYS goes above and beyond. He deserves a kudos!" --anonymous
