What has your CEHD Staff Council been up to?

Technical Training

Thank you Gaby McNicoll and Michael Carter for leading our last technical training on 10/11 about staff resources available through the University. We had a great turnout and lots of positive feedback. Please see the following link for a full list of staff resources!

For more training on all sorts of things through GSU Technology Services, visit:

Staff Mixer at East Coast Wings
Thanks to all who came out on 10/20. Our next staff mixer will be held on Thursday, 11/16. We are challenging everyone to bring at least one staff member with them. It's a wonderful opportunity to create community and get to know each other outside of work.

Thanks to all who came out to the October TEDTalk on 10/16 entitled: To This Day... for the bullied and beautiful by Shane Koyczan. We received lots of positive feedback. Thank you Hillary Meister for moderating!

Coaching Skills for Managers
Thank you to all staff supervisors who attended the training with Dr. Merle Strangway on 10/27. We received lots of positive feedback and hope to provide the same training to the faculty supervisors.

Have you seen a co-worker do something great in your office, your floor or the college as a whole that supports a positive working environment? Take a moment to acknowledge them and we'll feature one of these colleagues each month.

November's Kudos goes to Tremeceia Jelks, administrative specialist in the Department of Educational Psychology, Special Education, and Communication Disorders (ESC).

"Tremeceia Jelks' commitment to providng an excellent customer experience really sets her apart from many others. She is a natural problem solver. She is often seen doing the happy dance at her desk. Thank you for your energy and commitment towards making our department and college a success!" --anonymous
