MCC September Events Calendar

This Tuesday
7 p.m – 8:15 p.m

Following the Prophetic tradition, MCC invites all East Bay residents to fast on the day of Ashura this Tuesday. Join us 30 minutes prior to Iftar 7:27 p.m. for a special dua. We also recommend fasting the day prior or after (Monday or Wednesday).

This Friday
7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Join our adult workshops to gather and talk about navigating contemporary issues in these wide-ranging group discussion. The women's halaqa is in partnership with The Rahmah Foundation. Youth Director Sh. Rami leads the men's gatherings

The SBIA & MCC congregations represent all Bay Area Muslims in an all faiths build of several playhouses to brighten the lives of deserving children in our community. For ages 5+ and lunch included, join #TeamMCC for this volunteer build is at a masjid in San Jose.

5:30 p.m. - 7:40 p.m.

This workshop will provide you with an understanding of pen, paper, and ink in calligraphy; preparing the pen; and learning the Thuluth or Nastaliq styles. You will have a chance to write and practice in class. No previous experience necessary.

Learn to read the Qur’an with beauty and consistency from Qari Amar Bellaha – one of the Bay Area’s foremost Qur’anic teachers who lead’s MCC Qur’an and Hifz programs. Ages 16+

$50/month until Ramadan 2020.

Join our monthly gathering for women (ages 18+) to commune, reflect, discuss, and gain strength, sorority, and support from one another. We will talk about spirituality, self-development, contemporary topics about being a Muslim women today.

This Saturday
5:45 p.m - 7:30 p.m.

Getting into college is more than just taking the SAT or ACT. You have to think about applications, essays, recommendation letters, and the interview. Don't dread it; embrace it. This is THE workshop for high school student & parents.

    Get professional help at the Counseling Office at the MCC or with our Youth Director.
  • Do you or your child have special needs that are limiting your participation? 
    Email MCC's Special-Needs Coordinator at
  • Did you recently experience or currently experiencing a death or illness in your family?
    Believe in the healing balm of prayer. Submit a community dua for this Friday's services.
  • Do you or your child wish to attend an MCC class/workshop, but cannot afford the fee? 
    MCC has a standing policy that financial need should never hold you back.Get a financial waiver.
  • Do you have personal concerns or reservations that keep you from joining?
    We want to know. Please email us so we can work together to create an inclusive environment.
