7th Annual EHS College Fair Scheduled for May 2nd

The EHS Counseling Department will be holding the 7th Annual College Fair on Thursday, May 2nd from 6-8pm in both Gymnasiums.  They will have representatives from colleges, technical and trade schools, trade apprenticeships, the military, and more. The list of attendees can be viewed below and will be updated as they have more participants. We hope to see you there!

What's New in the EPSD?

Eyer Middle School Hosts 2nd Annual Girls in STEM Night

Eyer Middle School hosted the 2nd annual Girls in STEM Night on April 11, 2019. The Society of Women’s Engineers (SWE) from Lehigh County visited and talked with the girls about how to break down stereotypes in the engineering and science fields, what/who inspired them to get involved with STEM, and what skills they need to be in these fields.

East Penn Learning Express Inaugural Bus Tour Scheduled for May 8th

The East Penn School District would like to invite any interested senior citizens to join us on our inaugural bus tour of the district on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. The East Penn Learning Express will pull out promptly at 9AM from the EPSD Administrative Building to tour Wescosville Elementary, Eyer Middle School, and Emmaus High School.

EHS Students Compete in Bloomsburg University Husky Dog Pound

Last week, Brent Haley and Jayne Espenshade took four EHS teams to Bloomsburg University to compete in the Husky Dog Pound, a spin-off of Shark Tank. The task was to have students pitch a business idea for 3 minutes and then a 5 minute Q&A from the judges. Judges were business professionals, corporate leaders, and business professors.

Attention Parents of Graduating Seniors: Order Your 2019 Senior Sign Today!

The East Penn School District Education Foundation is excited to launch their 2019 “Senior Sign” project for our Emmaus High School graduating class. Surprise and honor your graduate with a sign that celebrates this important accomplishment. These plastic signs are great for front yards, windows, walls or wherever you can think to display one. Each sign is $25: All sign orders are due by May 23, 2019.

Emmaus High School ACSL Club Places in Programming Competitions

On April 4th, three teams of students competed at the Widener University programming competition. The team of Frankie Hughes, Mitch Machulsky, and Arti Schmidt successfully solved all eight programs, earning second place out of over fifty teams.

Twenty-nine Emmaus students performed at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 10 Chorus Festival February 7-9 at Exeter Township High School.

Class of 2019 Around the World AfterBall Party

Friday, MAY 3,  2019 

The Senior AfterBall Party, which is held after the Senior Ball at EHS, is made possible completely by donations and volunteers.

Underclass parents, as well as senior parents, are needed to create a successful event!

The all-night party includes food, a casino, carnival games, a DJ and thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes, including a car!

EHS German Students Earn First Place at State German Competition

Congratulations to our German students who traveled to Penn State on April 10th for the annual German Day Competition. Emmaus placed 1st overall again (7 of 8 years!) and students from all 4 grade levels, including 3 LMMS 8th graders, participated in categories such as film/video, poster, geography, poetry recitation, spelling, and trivia.

Lehigh Career & Technical Institute hosts Camp LCTI each summer to spread the word about career and technical education in the Lehigh Valley. We hope you’ll join them for a week or two of fun with STEAM — science, technology, engineering, art and math — and career exploration.

LMMS Jazz Band plays for the seniors at Legend Senior Living of Allentown.
Congratulations to Maxwell Hafner for receiving the 2018-2019 Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award for Emmaus High School. This award is designated for a student that exhibits dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism.
The students and staff of Global Science Inquiry spent the day saving the rainforests! Today, students presented a variety of multimedia projects focused on saving a particular animal or aspect of rainforests from around the world. Students presented their projects in a gallery walk format that will culminate with them receiving “money” in order to donate to the cause that they felt was most compelling. Students presented using WeVideo, Google Apps, and other various methods

The EHS Interact Club had a great afternoon filling over 1,000 plastic Easter eggs for the Miracle League Easter Egg Hunt that is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 24TH. 

The East Penn School District's Central Registration Office has moved its location from Eyer Middle School to the Administration Building at 800 Pine Street, Emmaus, PA.

Lincoln Elementary School raised a whopping $2,561.21 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Pennies for Patients program. Mr. Svencer’s 4th grade class was the highest classroom fundraiser at $300!

Congratulations to the LMMS PMEA Band/Orchestra Festival participants! Performing last Wednesday - Ian Beaupre, Trystan Busletta, Allen Han, Brian Merk, Jonathan Pouscordero, Noah Taylor!

Look at the growth on the EHS Farm Wall!

Mr. & Mrs. Campbell were honored after the LMMS  “Into the Woods” final performance.  LMMS 
celebrated 20 years of theatre under Mr. Campbell’s outstanding leadership! The quilts, crafted from all 20 years of show t-shirts, were beautifully made by Mrs. Trautmann.

Congratulations to EHS Student, Nate Garcia, for being named a 2019 Scholastic Art and Writing Award National American Visions Medal winner for his art piece named Trojan Cow. Nate, his family, and EHS Art Teacher, Tracy Maley, are heading to Carnegie Hall in New York City to receive the award at the ceremony on June 6, 2019. Congratulations, Nate!
