Solar radiation measurement news

Q3 | 2016 NEWSLETTER

Dear <<Title>> <<Last Name>>,

We are proud to present to you the next level in solar radiation measurement: SR30. SR30 secondary standard pyranometer offers the highest data availability; it outperforms externally ventilated high-end pyranometers. SR30 is individually tested and offers low cost of ownership. Visitors of the Meteorological Technology World Expo in Madrid are welcome to preview the new digital SR30 pyranometer at the Hukseflux booth: #5085. The affordable SR05 next level second class pyranometer will be on display too.

This newsletter highlights some of the SR30 and SR05 advantages, reports on independent tests of SR20 versus competitors by PV Performance Labs, JRC Ispra and Sandia National Laboratories, and focuses on new calibration opportunities in your region.

THE LATEST NEWS
Next level SR30

One of the features of the upcoming SR30 secondary standard pyranometer is that it is heated for best data availability, outperforming externally ventilated high-end pyranometers. Visit booth #5085 at the Madrid Expo for a preview of SR30.

Next level SR05

SR05, introduced by Hukseflux in January 2016, makes second class pyranometers finally affordable for large (agro) meteorological networks. The next level SR05, as a low-accuracy alternative to SR30, is employed in small scale PV systems as well.

IN FOCUS
Worldwide calibration services

SR30 is designed for low cost of ownership, which is mainly determined by costs of installation, on-site inspections, servicing and calibration. Our next level pyranometers are easy to install and supported by an efficient calibration and servicing organisation. Hukseflux offers local support and calibration services in the main global economies: EU, USA, Brazil, Japan, China and India.

SR11 big in Japan

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has extensively tested our SR11 first class pyranometer. This resulted in an approval, as shown by the JMA certificate. The agency had already tested and approved SR20 secondary standard and LP02 second class pyranometer. Our Japanese customers may contact Hukseflux Japan for more information on all Hukseflux products and services via the new Muroz website.

Hukseflux in PES Solar Magazine

In the PES Solar Magazine September issue, Kees van den Bos, director of Hukseflux, gives his thoughts on new standards for solar radiation measurement and PV monitoring, and on the future PV market. Also an interesting read for those interested in data availability, maintenance and calibration: PES Solar Magazine September 2016 issue, page 92 - 95.
