Want to have some fun?
The forecast is good. The tickets are all but sold out. Now we just need some more volunteers to make the FHA tour a hit! The good news is that if you sign up for a volunteer slot, you get a free ticket. We are asking one last time for volunteers from the floating home community. There are a range of jobs available to suit all sorts of talents, none of them too arduous and all of them fun. If you would like to be involved but have been holding out, now is the time to join us, and bring a friend! Sharon Morken, volunteer coordinator extraordinaire, is looking forward to hearing from you at

Will it Flush?
Thank you to Lesley Hazleton and Ann Bassetti for sharing this little nugget with us! If you have ever wondered what happens when you or your guests put toilet paper, supposedly flushable wipes or other items down the toilet, here is your answer. Don't worry, its not gross, but it is very informative! Click here to watch the video from the City if Spokane's Pre Treatment Facility.

Downsized and Re-modelled Lately?
Sheri Koones, author of a number of books about small houses, energy efficient houses and prefabricated houses, is writing a new book profiling people who have downsized and would like to feature a floating home. Specifically, she is looking for homes 2000 sq.feet or less ((that's the easy criteria for most of us to meet!), but the house must also be a primary residence, and have been or remodeled in the last 3 years.  You can find out more about Sheri here,, and if you qualify and ire interested in featuring in the book you can contact her here

That's all for now. Let me know if you come across something you would like to share with your floating friends.
All the best
