  • DNR Water Dependent Rent Calculations Presentation from June 13th - I have added the latest presentation from the DNR to the 'DNR Lease Presentations' page on the FHA website, along with the other presentations the DNR has given us about the new lease templates. You can view it here.
  • FHA Tour - The next Seattle Floating Homes Tour will be on Sunday, September 9th, from noon to 5 p.m. We already have some great homes signed up to be on the tour, a massive thank you to everyone who has already signed up! We are still looking for a couple more homes up towards the top end of Fairview Ave E before you get as far as Roanoke Reef. If you would be willing to be included in the show, please email Tom Campbell at dthomascampbell@gmail.com. Our wonderful Volunteer Coordinator, Sharon Morken, would love to hear from anyone who would like to volunteer. Her email address is roxysurvives@yahoo.com
  • Seattle Night Out - Following on from the success of last years' events, Tom Campbell is offering to organize beer kegs again for any docks celebrating Seattle Night Out on Tuesday, August 7, 2018. There will be more information to come about how to get hold of the beer, but you might want to start planning your party now!
  • Aurora Bridge - I have uploaded the June 19th update from WSDOT and the latest air quality reports of the first sampling of lead-based testing to the Northlake/Westlake News section of the FHA Website. A testing baseline has been established, and monitoring will continue. The first document is a one page summary of results to date, all well within applicable standards. The second is a lengthy (41 pages) summary of testing standards and methods, locations, and raw results. A number of pages also contain the credentials and certifications of the testing lab. Compared to the last painting project from two years ago, this represents a quantum leap forward in the quality of the reporting and testing, and also in the (non)release of lead contamination (very little).
  • April FHA Board Meeting Minutes have been posted to the FHA website. You can read them here.

  • Emergency Preparedness - There are some useful resources on the Seattle City website if you are worried about the Cascadia Subduction Zone you can see them here http://www.seattle.gov/emergency-management
