FHA AGM - Thank you to the floating home supporters that attended the meeting last Thursday. Apologies were received from several members who were unable to attend due to it being Holy Thursday. The notes taken at the meeting have been posted to the website here.

Aurora Bridge Updates - From Tom Pearce of WSDOT 4/19/2019
Those of you north of Lake Union probably noticed more noise recently. Liberty’s sand-blasting work is moving north, which means more noise during approved daytime work hours. This work is necessary to properly paint and protect the bridge. Liberty will work to complete this as soon as possible. If the noise bothers you, please contact me and I can get you some earplugs. Thanks for your patience. Liberty has no night work planned for the next three weeks. If that changes, I’ll let you know.

We have dates for weekend-long lane reductions for the paving portion of the George Washington Bridge project. The contract allows for up to 10 weekends with SR 99/Aurora Avenue reduced to one lane in each direction from 9 p.m. each Friday until 5 a.m. the following Monday. The first six scheduled are:
  • May 31-June 2
  • June 14-16 and 28-30
  • July 12-14
  • Aug. 9-11, 16-18 and 23-25
Working in sections each weekend, crews will grind off the old pavement, make any needed repairs to the bridge deck, install new waterproofing and repave. This work is very weather-dependent. I’ll remind you as it gets closer. I’m almost always around on weekdays if you have any questions. Feel free to contact me.
