Support the Client Assistance Fund

“I'll never forget the first letter I got from a client who had received support through the Client Assistance Fund. The funds we'd sent had made it possible for him to call his daughter on her birthday, and he really wanted me to know how much that meant to him.”

- from an ARC, Inc. team member

The Client Assistance Fund was established to provide our clients with basic necessities while in prison. Books, toiletries, and data for calling or emailing loved ones who often face incredible obstacles to maintaining regular contact—many of us had never worried about accessing these basic necessities, but they represent some of what our clients would have to go without if it weren’t for the Fund. Although it might seem small that money for a book or a stamp impacts our clients' well-being as they go through a long and difficult legal process or long-term incarceration, our clients' gratitude is ever present. In the words of one client, "Your help makes life worth looking forward to."

That is why we are launching our Client Assistance Fund campaign. Throughout the month of March, we'll be seeking support to make sure that we can help to meet our clients' most essential needs. Our goal for this campaign is to raise $5,000 so that we can respond to requests throughout the entire year.

Support in any amount makes a big difference in a campaign like this. We often see that a gift of just $10 can transform the way a client is feeling—even beyond the physical items, it lets them know that someone is thinking of them. We hope you'll consider supporting this campaign and making that feeling possible for our clients for months to come.

If you're in the Baltimore area, please join us for our first-ever Open House on Wednesday, March 20. We're looking forward to a great opportunity to connect with members of our local community. The Open House will be held from 5pm to 7pm, so feel free to stop by any time. RSVPs are appreciated for planning purposes, but are not required.

Light refreshments will be served. Questions? Contact Mary at
