Summary Thought
"The Infinite became finite. The Invisible became tangible. The Transcendent became imminent. That which was far off drew nigh. That which was beyond the reach of the human mind became that which could be beholden within the realm of human life. Here we are permitted to see through a veil that, which unveiled, would have blinded us."
A.W. Pink

Scripture Text for Sunday Morning

John 1:14–18

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.  (John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’ ”)  For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.  For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.  No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.

Discussion Questions
What does the word “incarnate” mean?

What is the significance of John saying that the Word “dwelt among us?”

How are we able to see the glory of God in Jesus Christ?

Why is it important that we learn to walk in grace and truth?

Mental Health Ministry Class… Judy De Wit will be leading a discussion on how to provide ministry for those who are affected by mental health issues beginning Sunday, January 5th, at 11:00 am, in the Library room. By under-standing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental diagnoses, we will learn what best to say and not say when others seek our help and support. This class is for adults and will maintain confidentiality, be a safe place to share, and be a source of encouragement for one another. Questions and concerns may be directed to Judy. Watch upcoming bulletins for more details.
