On February 20th- 22nd, students from UTM, UTSG and UTSC participated in our annual Alternative Reading Week (ARW). Through ARW, students had the opportunity to learn and understand more about local issues within their communities, and give back to partnering community organizations.
Special thanks to all participants and community partners!

On February 24th, our UTM Day Event volunteers attended the The Dam Youth Drop in Centre's annual event “The Coldest Night of the Year”. During the night, we helped walkers as they raised awareness for homelessness in the peel region.
Thanks for coming out and we look forward to volunteering again next year!

On March 4th, a group of UTM, UTSG and UTSC students volunteered with Burlington Habitat Restore for a one day event! The staff from habitat were so happy to have the volunteers join them in cleaning, organizing and de-cluttering the store- a project they haven’t had enough time to do in 3 years!! Shout out to all the volunteers for bringing such awesome energy for the day and for making the Re-Store site ready for business today!

This year’s Global Commons concluded with the 3rd and final workshop on Thursday March 1st!
