Mississauga Gives: Volunteer & Networking Fair
For Giving Tuesday this year, we hosted a fair for students to find more opportunities to get involved on & off campus 
Malton Village Holiday SIng-A-Long
On Nov 23rd, we took students to Malton Village Longterm Care for a Holiday Carols Sing-A-Long. 
Community Engagement Volunteer Social
On Dec 2nd, we hosted a Volunteer Social as a way to thank all of our wonderful volunteers for the work they've been doing with us and our Community Partners! Take a look at all the happy faces from the night! 
Food Drive
For the month of December, we'll be collecting non-perishable food items in collaboration with The Mississauga Food Bank. Students who participate in this stand a chance to win a $20 gift card to the UofT Bookstore. They can do this by tagging us on Instagram or Twitter with a selfie of them donating a food item. 
STUDENT OF THE MONTH: Shayan Alam
Shayan is an undergraduate student at UTM, doing a Psychology major with a double minor in Biology and Chemistry. Shayan has demonstrated excellent leadership through his ongoing support with mentally and physically disabled students at Community on Campus for four years now. He has also been active on campus as the Co-President of Lifeline: UTM Blood and Stem Cell Society, where he helped make the first two blood donation clinics successful. Outside of UTM, he spends his time giving back to the community at Credit Valley Hospital, Day Surgery Department, where he provides ease, comfort, and care for the patients residing there. He has impacted many individuals on and off campus, bringing positive changes to the community, as well as garnering life-long friendships.

This semester we had over 200 students engage with us in short term and long term projects! 
Check out some interesting facts on how we did this semester: 
With over 200 volunteers and almost 30 projects/events, the total amount of volunteer hours our students have contributed to the community is 2105.5 hours!
