Hap-Pie Spring!! Oh how I am so ready for the flowers to bloom and the weather to warm up.
Sugar Momma's has some exciting news! We are proud to annouce we are going to be the official carriers of Honey Ice Cream. This ice cream is brought all the way from Millersburg, Missouri! We will have five flavors.
Which are: Lemon, Butter Pecan, Banana, Coffee Buzz, Raspberry, Salty Caramel, Blackberrry, Rootbeer, Peach and Peach Melba. Stop by and try some today!

Chocolate Pudding Terrariums

Ingredients

¾ cup sugar

½ cup cocoa powder

¼ cup corn starch

3 cups milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

crushed oreos

buttercream, dyed a variety of different shades of green (recipe at www.pankobunny.com)

Instructions

  1. Make the pudding: Place the sugar, cocoa powder and corn starch in a pot and mix to combine. Gradually add the milk, stirring to combine. Set to low heat and bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from the heat, pour into a bowl, add the vanilla extract and stir to combine. Cover the surface with a sheet of plastic wrap and place in the fridge until chilled.

  2. Make the buttercream succulents: Spread some buttercream onto the surface of a flower nail, a tool that you use when piping buttercream roses etc. Place a square of parchment paper on top. Use a variety of piping tips to pipe the succulents of your choice onto the square of buttercream. This recipe used #67, #102, #102, #104, #18 and small, round tips for the cactus details. Slide the square of parchment paper onto a flat tray and transfer to the freezer until the succulents are very firm.

  3. Spoon the chocolate pudding into glasses and top with some crushed oreos. Gently arrange the succulents inside the glass, then fill in the spaces with rock candy. Enjoy!

Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26, a citywide celebration of the traditional art of German sausage making. Professional and amateur sausage-making competitions, sausage samples and sales, sausage-making demonstrations and displays, and the crowd-pleasing wiener dog derby on Sunday. Most events take place at Stone Hill Winery and Hermannhof Winery.

Candy of the Week

Sugar Daddy

This popular sucker was invented by Robert Welch in 1925 and was originally called the Papa Sucker. Various slogans were tried for the new caramel sucker and the one selected was "Of all the pop family, this is the Papa. The name changed around 1932 to Sugar Daddy which was a popular expression at the time. It suggested a wealth of sweetness.
