Recipe of the Week
Jelly Bean Bark
Ingredients
16 ounces white chocolate
½ cup purple candy melts
½ cup pink candy melts
½ cup jelly beans
INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare baking sheet with wax or parchment paper
Melt white chocolate and candy melts in individual bowls. I like to use the double boiler method, especially with the white chocolate. Melt over low heat; remove chocolate immediately after it has a smooth consistency.
Spread white chocolate over prepared baking sheet.
Immediately spoon small scoops (about a half teaspoon) of candy melts over white chocolate.
Use a toothpick or butter knife to swirl colors together.
Add jelly beans and allow bark to cool before cutting into squares.

Candy of the Week
Jelly Belly
The first Jelly Belly jelly beans were sold by Mr. David Klein in a small ice cream parlor in Alhambra, California in 1976. The first flavors were Very Cherry, Tangerine, Lemon, Green Apple, Grape, Licorice, Root Beer, and Cream Soda. In the 1980s they were made famous nationwide by President Ronald Reagan who always had a jar of Jelly Bellies on his desk in the oval office and on Air Force One.
