Renovations of the Wgetthta Building are Complete!
After just over a year of renovations, the Wgetthta building at Wgema Campus is now complete! This building was originally built in 1900, providing classroom space for students and staff at the historic Concordia College campus. Concordia left this neighborhood in 1983, moving its campus to Mequon, where it now operates as Concordia University Wisconsin. The Forest County Potawatomi has owned the property since 1990, and the site had been leased to the Indian Community School until the school moved to Franklin in 2007. Wgetthta, meaning “Warrior” in Potawatomi, is now home to the Forest County Potawatomi Legal Department, Gaming Commission, Foundation and other Tribal offices.
Beautiful interior touches wrapping up on the River House Apartments!
