Volunteer Drivers Needed for Transport to Day Centre,
Charles Court, Charles Crescent, Armthorpe

Do you know of someone who has a few hours to spare on a Friday to become a volunteer driver? We need drivers to pick up our clients at 9.30 from their home and transport them to our Day Centre in Armthorpe, returning them home at 2pm. This would suit someone retired/semi retired with a few hours to spare. A DBS (disclosure check) will be required for which the cost will be met by Inspire. Expenses for fuel and out of pocket expenses will also be paid .

Our Day Centre is held in the Starlight Room and we strongly advise that places are booked early to avoid disappointment.

Through a supportive day program, Inspire's Day Centre focuses on enhancing the quality and dignity of life for individuals who have disabilities or illness . The client is always recognised, respected and their dignity is preserved above all. The needs of the client must be fulfilled whether it is for physical or emotional support. This is also a respite service for carers.

The session provides:

  • Stimulating and therapeutic activities, exercises and games
  • Chair based gentle exercise and sing alongs
  • A friendly social environment
  • A cooked meal with morning and afternoon snacks
  • We may be able to offer door-to-door transportation
  • Visits from qualified Nutritionists, Chiropodists, and Nurses for general health checks

The fee is ONLY £40 for 4 hours which includes refreshments, a cooked meal and pudding.

Places are limited so booking is essential
