New Service on a Saturday
We are pleased to announce that we now have availability for our services on a Saturday. Below is a brief overview of the services we provide:
- Befriending for people living with dementia and their carers, including socially isolated older people and young adults over 18 years of age with learning difficulties/disabilities within the Autistic Spectrum
- Friends for the Bereaved
- Companionship and Home Conversation.
- Assisted Shopping trips.
Our services offer companionship, access to activities and outings for the cared for, while at the same time giving the family carer quality time to re-charge their batteries and build their resilience in their caring role. Our staff are friendly and approachable, respecting the diversity and individuality of our clients.
We arrange a free home visit to discuss the person's needs and requirements whilst working with their family and carers. During the meeting we complete a checklist and ensure that carers are signposted to appropriate services to give them continued support in addition to agreeing the best support package for the individual.
Our experienced staff can help with issues such as loneliness and social isolation. We can offer the carer a home visit to sit with their loved one so that they can attend family gatherings, shopping trips, and have some much needed quality time alone.
