The GSE Conference News from the GSE Conference Team
The Conference Team have compiled a conference guide for delegates. It contains everything a delegate needs to know about the conference and the conference hotel covering topics such as: the conference app; meals at Whittlebury Hall; the shuttle bus schedule; parking; check in / out times for all the hotels; the conference streams; conference administration; expand you network; zEscape Room; charities being supported and Whittlebury Hall Hotel floor plans showing where sessions will be held. This document can be downloaded from http://www.gse.org.uk/conferences/Conference%20Guide.pdf . Please print a copy and bring with you to the conference.
If you would like to reserve a seat on the shuttle bus to one of the following hotels...
... please complete the form at the bottom of the shuttle bus page.
As previously stated the objective of this service is to get you safely back to your hotel on the nights of the CICS Birthday Party and Conference Dinner and return to Whittlebury Hall the following morning. Depending on demand there will also be an early evening bus to these hotels to allow you to check in. However, there is only a short period of time between conference sessions to do this and if you have a car it would be quicker to use this rather than the shuttle bus. Likewise, if you want to return to your hotel after the conference day sessions to ‘freshen up’ going by car would be the quickest option. Therefore, we would like to limit the early evening shuttle busses to those that have no other means of transport.
The 8am session on Thursday is our regular Birds of a Feather session where you can question IBM Mainframe Execs. To answer your questions will be:
Dave Jeffries who is responsible for z/OS Software Development including base z/OS, New Workloads such as Open Data Analytics, Cloud Provisioning, zOSMF, Pervasive Encryption and zCX. This platform is 'on fire' and we're loving it !
Mark Anzani who is the Vice President of Strategy for IBM Z. He engages in business and product technical strategy projects focused on the IBM mainframe business. Additionally, he supports specific client projects that drive new implementations and uses of IBM Z technology. He is based in the Poughkeepsie New York Development Laboratory.
If you have any questions you can submit them to us now at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can save them for the session itself.
