EASTER WEEKEND/ANZAC WEEKEND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
As we head into the long weekend, just a reminder that Friday and Monday are the days to be treated as Public Holidays - Sunday is not a public holiday.

At Anzac weekend, if Sunday is a normal day of work then Sunday is treated as the Public Holiday.  If Monday is a normal day of work then that day will be treated as the public holiday - but it can only be one or the other, not both.

If you have any queries about how these days are treated please touch base with us.

BUSINESSNZ/SOUTHERN CROSS WORKPLACE ABSENTEEISM & WELLNESS SURVEY
Attached is a web link to the fifth biennial Southern Cross Health Insurance – BusinessNZ Workplace Wellness Survey. With a Bill before Parliament to double sick leave, the data collated in this survey will be important.

The survey will be used to consider the scale of absenteeism in New Zealand, how much employers are doing to assist employees with health and wellness, and where, if any, there are gaps.

The survey this year will also look at how COVID-19 has impacted New Zealand workplaces. Specifically, it will investigate how the pandemic has impacted workplace absence, policies regarding sick leave and whether employees continue to work while unwell, and the extent to which businesses have changed their working from home practices.

The survey below takes about 20 minutes to complete. Your responses will not be attributed to any business or individual and will be kept strictly confidential.

If required, once you have started the survey you can save your progress and continue later by using the link in the top right-hand corner of the survey to get a link to return and complete the survey later.

We would be grateful if you would complete the survey before 30 April.

Click here to begin the survey.

In order to enter the draw to win a wellness package to the value of $500 please enter the letters PNZ followed by the first word of your company name.
