Good morning, today's news is mixed, with a bit of disappointing news and some great news.

While Auckland is back in level 2, the situation with regard to community cases remains tenuous and for this reason we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Auckland Print Training Graduation. Originally due to be held next week, we did not want to put anyone at risk or make people that are travelling from out of Auckland feel uncomfortable about attending.

We had put a back-up plan in place in case it was needed and the new date for the event is Tuesday 4 May.  We trust that the time between now and the re-scheduled date will provide sufficient opportunity for things to settle and for people to feel safe.
Please note that at this point the Christchurch graduation will proceed as scheduled on Thursday 25 March.

We will touch base individually with all those that had registered for the Auckland event to arrange the transfer of information to the new event.  And if the new date now allows you to attend, please let us know. The venue, timing and guest speaker all remain the same.

Applications for Trainer of the Year and Training Company of the Year are open and due to the delayed Auckland event the deadline has been extended to Thursday 18 March.

If your company has been involved in training during 2020 or you have someone in your business who has championed your trainees, particularly in light of the challenges 2020 presented, then please complete a nomination form.

Finalists will be announced at our Training Graduations, with the overall winner of each Award named at the Pride In Print Awards on 25 June.

And the great news - a huge congratulations to our Top 12 Apprentices for 2020. These people have been selected for having excelled in their training and this is also recognition of the work that their trainers and companies have put into them.  Five of these people will go on to be named as Apprentice of the Year sector winners, and one will be named overall Apprentice of the Year at the Pride In Print Awards on 25 June.  Congratulations to:
